Bagels – what, no schmeer?

So, that was the reaction of my younger son when he saw the bagels. He doesn’t have many weaknesses, but bagels are one of them. His verdict? They’re good, ma!

So, they were good. But, they were a lot of work. And, the local bagel shop makes as good a product – with lots less work! And, if you get there early enough, they’re even hot out of the oven.

But, now I can say, “Oh, yeah, I’ve made bagels!

    It’s always easier to go to a local bakery, but oh the satisfaction of making scrumptious homemade baked goods at home! And even better when the kids like it!

    Sorry I’m late!
    Let’s start this delicious „tour des blogs“ and see how the 85 bagels turned out.
    I had great fun making and bathing and baking them and will remake them for sure.

    These were my first bagels (eaten and made)… they are still quite unknown in my country.
    Bravo! for having made them despite the local bagel shop tempting you…They turned out beautiful. Will you rebake them?

      I may bake them again sometime, but it’ll really have to be a special occasion. They really seemed to be a lot of work.
